Twisted Logic For Poker Bot Developers
Doing anything online always carries the element of suspicion. The fact is
that anyone who participates in any kind of online activity is at the mercy
of those with technical know how, and financial matters can be especially
intimidating. Poker is no exception, and some online poker players are
becoming increasingly worried that they are up against bots that are winning
the money, and winning it big.
Concern has been growing for quite some time now about the existence of advanced
card-playing robots that have the ability to outplay human opponents. The online
casinos are worried enough about the problem that most of them have entire teams
of programmers dedicated to detecting anyone who uses them. Once caught, the
users can be barred from playing at the sites again.
Poker bots can be bought commercially, so there is no doubt at all as to their
existence. Where the doubt lies is in how effective they can be. If someone is
using a poker bot, they must be sufficiently technologically advanced to know
how to use them properly. They must also be advanced enough to outwit the teams
that online casinos put on trying to weed bot-users out.
“The casinos know that our bots are a threat to their business. Once people
realize that a computer program can beat them they will not play online anymore.
At least that is the worry of the casino owners.” Said David Glazen the owner of
www.pokerbot-pro.com and lead developer of PokerBot-Pro, the most popular
pokerbot on the internet today.
Developers like Glazen seem to have a weirdly twisted way of looking at things.
He will cheerfully admit that the poker bots his company develops will make
online poker obsolete, and that human players will leave when they realize all
they are doing is giving their money to the best bot. Of course, this will put
people like Glazen out of business, but he must be getting his bankroll from
somewhere, as it seems to be of little concern to him and others of his ilk.
